Oceanos Underwater Expo – A Unique Family Experienc\e in Kochi
The Oceanos Underwater Expo 2019 held at Darbar Hall Ground, Kochi, was a unique and educational experience for families visiting Kerala. Events like these add interesting indoor attractions to many Kerala family tour packages, especially for travelers exploring Kochi with children. The expo ran from 18th October to 17th November 2019 and offered visitors a chance to understand marine life and the underwater world in an engaging way.
We have always been curious about underwater experiences and wanted our children to see and learn about marine life up close. Since such exhibitions are rare and not permanently available, this temporary expo was a wonderful opportunity. It is definitely worth visiting if you are traveling with kids and looking to include a different kind of activity in your Kerala holiday.
Our children truly enjoyed the visit and had a memorable learning experience. This article shares our personal experience and honest review of the expo, highlighting what we felt and observed during our visit. It is purely a visitor’s perspective meant to help other families plan better, especially those exploring Kochi as part of their Kerala trip.
The cost to enter is Rs. 120 for adult and 60 for child. We reached by 4PM and entered the place.
To the entrance at Oceanos Underwater Expo there are few fish tanks resembles an aquarium shop with good fishes as well few star fishes which was not appealing to me
and to the next level they have tried to create the ambience of under sea. Here too we can have a watch of few fish and children had good time. You don’t feel you are under sea but can watch few fish that’s it.
Do visit Oceanos Underwater Expo with out much hope and to have a feel for maximum half hour and they have few shops which sells furniture, handicrafts, electric items etc.

The exhibition was the best experience of my life. I really enjoyed the Expo as though I was underwater and all marine animals moved around me. However, the only defect I found was there were no name provided to the marine animals inside the tank as we enter from the entrance. Overall the Expo experience was fabulous and thrilling. I hope in future many more expo’s come into place.
